Sudha Shivpuri of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ fame passes away at 77
Mumbai: Veteran actress Sudha Shivpuri, known for essaying the role of loving Baa in popular series ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, breathed her last today morning in Mumbai.
About a year ago, Sudha was admitted in the ICU after she suffered a stroke, she recovered from the illness. However, old-age induced illness took a toll on her health soon after.
Actor and writer Mushtaq Sheikh broke the news early morning. He posted, “Mrs Sudha Shivpuri (wife of Om Shivpuri) also popularly known as Baa in Kyun Ki passed away this morning. May her soul rest in peace. #RIP.” Sudha’s body will be cremated at the Oshiwara Crematorium in the afternoon today.
Sudha took up acting as a career to support her ailing mother at a tender age. She got married to actor Hari Shivpuri and they even initiated a theatre company. Sudha took up television shows soon after her husband died in 1990. She gain popularity when Ekta Kapoor's serial came her way. The actress is survived by daughter Ritu Shivpuri and a son. She will stay in our hearts forever.
