Troubled waters for Shahid Kapoor’s film Farzi

Mumbai: Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s film Farzi seems to be in trouble. Announced a few months ago, it was to feature Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead. But we now hear that Shahid has no dates for the film. Meanwhile, Kriti, who had brushed aside all other offers to make way for Farzi in her diary, is getting restless.

A source says, “Raj and DK were very sure that they wanted only Shahid as their leading man in the film — not even Saif, who they’ve worked with on Go Goa Gone and Happy Ending. But when Shahid said he wouldn’t be able to shoot in June, presumably due to his wedding, the duo gladly postponed the schedule to the latter half of the year. Now one hears that Shahid’s first film after his wedding will be Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon with Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.” So where does that leave Farzi?
