Kamal Haasan all set to play tough cop in ‘Thoonga Vanam’

Mumbai: After basking in the success of ‘Uttama Villain’, Kamal Haasan is back shooting for his forthcoming film ‘Thoonga Vanam’.

The shooting has commenced in full swing and Kamal can be seen engrossed in the process.

In ‘Thoonga Vanam’, Kamal will be seen as a police officer and the film is touted to be a thriller that will unfold in a single night. Makers had earlier planned to shoot the movie in Mauritius and Kamal had also finalised some locations on the island; but several logistical issues led the team to schedule shooting in India.

Meanwhile there were rumours of many actresses eyeing the lead role in the film, however, Trisha and Manisha Koirala were finalised for the same.

It is believed that a new face will play the third lead actress. The film, which is a bi-lingual, is being simultaneously shot in Telugu-language as Cheekati Rajyam with the same cast.
