Revanth Reddy’s PA and driver avoiding probe, says Telangana ACB
Hyderabad: Telangana State Anti-Corruption Bureau, in its counter filed against bail application of the accused in cash-for-vote scam, claimed that the driver and personal assistant of MLA Revanth Reddy, who are the key witnesses, are avoiding interrogation by the investigating agency.
ACB special prosecutor of the case, Mr. V Surender Rao said, “Revanth had himself claimed that he will occupy a prominent role in politics in the next 20 years and so he has the potential to influence the witnesses. Investigation is pending in the case. The agency has got more leads, which need to be further probed. ACB is now on money trail.”
We will add lesser offences like Representation of People Act while filing the chargesheet, he added.
The ACB said Mr Revanth’s conduct during arrest challenging the ACB has to be questioned.
Audio-video recordings and mobile phones, which are key evidences have to be sent to forensic examination. Footage of surveillance camera at MLA Harry Sebastian’ house has also been seized.
The ACB sleuths of Telangana state have decided to record statements of nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson, his daughter Jessica Stephenson and Elvis’ aide Malcom Taylor before magistrate under Section 164 of CrPC, in connection with the cash-for-vote scam.
