Bala-Amrutha to divorce
For the past few days, the online world has been abuzz with news of the Bala–Amrutha split. Amrutha Suresh took to her social networking site to make a statement asking all rumour mongers to leave them alone and not to meddle with relationships within families. Through all this Bala has been maintaining a stoic silence and there was a reason behind his silence. Like the calm before the storm, Bala reveals in an exclusive, “Yes, I am going in for a divorce and will be filing papers this month end!”
Asked about the reasons he says, “I do not want to talk about the reasons or blame anybody. I love my daughter more than my life and want the best for her!” The couple has been a very popular pair making appearances together, their love visible for all to see. While the reasons for the decision to part ways remain private, it is yet another celebrity marriage hitting the rocks.
The Bala–Amrutha marriage had all the trappings of a fairytale romance — an actor from Kollywood who came to judge a reality show, falls in love with a reality show contestant Amrutha, a Keralite girl. The marriage took place in 2010 with the blessings of their respective families, as well as Mata Amritanandamayi.
The couple have a daughter Avantika, who is now 3-years-old. Bala moved bag and baggage to Kerala and set up his home here, recently even buying a flat and settling down with his family, all for the sake of love, in all aspects becoming a Malayali. He wrote, directed and acted in a bi-lingual film Hitlist in which incidentally Amrutha has sung and he was also a part of the initial CCL team.
Meanwhile, Amrutha got busy with her stage performances. She along with her sister Abhirami recently started a music band Amrutam Gamaya which has been performing on TV and on stage at various locations.
