Fathers Day Special: Celebrities tell us why their dad is the best
Mumbai: On the eve of Father's day, our favourite television and Bollywood stars come forward to tell us what their fathers mean to them and why they are the best, in these heart warming quotes.
Taapsee Pannu- "No matter how much he cribbed and complained about me choosing this industry over my regular safe job, he always stood strongly besides me to make sure he is there to catch me if I fall. He has become from my biggest fear to my strongest support over the years and I am proud of having a father who could put up with my kind of dynamic mind"
Vidya Balan-"I get my sense of humour from my dad and that keeps me going. He's always been the one who supported my decisions and encouraged me to pursue my dreams. Even after marriage, I do make time to meet up with my family; they are an important aspect of my life."
Swara Bhaskar informs, “My father means the world to me. I’ll always be grateful to him for his constant love and support. More than being a father, he’s like a friend. Visiting a museum back home in Delhi on Fathers Day is just an excuse, the purpose is to spend time with him and watch him smile which I'm sure will make my day.”
Ravish Desai says, “ I don't exactly remember the moment when this pic was clicked but I remember it was one of my early birthday celebrations at home. I used to be an extremely notorious kid. I would only insist on taking a picture with my Papa.”
Mugdha Chaphekar says, “The picture itself says that I’m Daddy’s little Princess… which I still am.”
Shaan says, "It's a wonderful occasion for all fathers to sit back and feel pampered by their kids and I am going to make the most of it. I miss my dad a lot and wish I could do the same for him, but I lost him pretty early in life. Nonetheless, I as a father am feeling very thrilled that both my boys now are of that age where they are going to arrange some wonderful surprise for me of course with a little help from their mother. I have taken an off from the busy schedule of The Voice India and on 21st me and my family are going to be on this beautiful island. I am very excited and look forward to celebrating the day with my family.
Sunidhi Chauhan -"My dad was into theatre and he is a very hardworking man. I was very influenced by him to pursue my interest in the creative field ie singing and he has always been appreciative of my work. I got fame at a young age but my family didn’t let that affect me, they still let me have a normal childhood, thanks to my dad, who remain unaffected by fame."
Karan Tacker- "My father is my best buddy with whom I can share everything be it work or personal issues. We are similar in so many ways and every moment spent with him is so much fun."
Mahhi Vij-“My father has always been my support system and needless to say he means the world to me. I am and will always be grateful to him for making me who I am today. More than being a father, he’d been like a friend to me. Shopping was just an excuse to spend time with him and watch him smile. That's exactly what makes my day."
