Director Hari, known for his commercial cocktails, teams up with Suriya for the fifth time in Singham 3. Having made the franchise a hit in Tamil cinema through his film Singham, the director is all geared up for its third installment. “The third part will have a connection with its prequels Singham and Singham 2, and the audience will be able to relate to the third piece.
You may have seen trilogy movies like Muni, Kanchana etc but they never had script-wise continuity, and that’s the unique factor in the Singham trilogy,” Hari told DC.On the ensemble cast, he said, “Suriya and Anushka are the lead pair and Shruti Haasan is the new addition here. Also, Radha Ravi and Nasser essay important roles.” Heaping praise on Suriya, he says, “This is the fourth time Suriya is essaying a police officer. We all know that he is a perfectionist and does his homework before coming on board. Especially in my films, he works like a possessed man.”
Hari reveals the intro scene of Suriya where he utters the punch line, “Thappu pannugiravargalai kaidhu seibavar mattum police ille. Thappe nadakkamal paathukolbavar thaan police (To arrest a wrongdoer is not the only duty of a policeman. He should see to that nothing goes wrong in the first place).”
