‘Spat’ it out in public!
They are making a big hue and cry about it and are getting despicable with every rant. Yes, celebrity feuds have been on a high and thanks to social networking sites, they now have another platform to fight tooth and nail. Taking one’s private lives on social networking sites is getting uglier as celebrities indulge in spats with other celebrities, and not just strangers.
They resort to Twitter and Facebook to wash their dirty linen in public. The latest one is Charlie Sheen, who targeted his ex-wife Denise Richards in his hateful rants on Twitter, calling her a “heretic washed up piglet Shame pile”. She retorted back on Father’s Day. The former Bond girl has two daughters from her marriage with him and is upset about not being able to spend time with the kids. To make matters worse, the 49-year-old wrote an open letter filled with vulgarity.
It’s not the first time that a celebrity has dissed another star in the public eye. Perez Hilton and Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Chris Brown, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and many others have lashed out disparaging remarks at each other. Closer home, Twinkle Khanna and Rahul Dholakia were at loggerheads when the lady gave a fitting reply to the Raees director, tweeting, @rahuldholakia here you are worried about my film career when you should be worried about getting raees by hook or by kkk..rook. The man was up against her saying, @mrsfunnybones Provence-No English-Looking for eggs at market-apparently flapping arms like chickens to describe eggs doesn’t work. @mrsfunnybones and you thought you quit acting? Come back film? Egg khiladi egg barsati!
Miss Earth Nicole Faria says, “People’s personal lives must remain personal. If it’s something a celebrity wants to state publicly, then it should be in good light. Since you’re a celebrity, you can touch many lives by sending out positivity, instead of creating negativity.” Fashion guru Prasad Bidapa, who launched Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and others, agrees. “I think that social media platforms are hardly the place to air your dirty linen on. I prefer to maintain a certain decorum and distance on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Dissing your ex so publicly is a bit cheap, really,” he says.
