Kangana protests I Love NY’s release
Despite Kangana Ranaut’s reluctance to release her long-pending rom-com I Love NY directed by Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao, the film is all set to hit the theatres on July 10.
The film, featuring Sunny Deol with Kangana, is about an unlikely couple brought together on New Year’s eve in New York. Apparently, the film’s producers had reassured Kangana that the film would never be released because it didn’t turn out the way they had wanted it to.
Besides, the film was seen by those close to Kangana, as a potential setback for the actress who is flying high with the success of Queen and Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
“But now the producers, T-Series have decided to give the film a token theatrical release, to be able to release it on satellite and on DVD,” says a reliable source.
Kangana had apparently resolved to take legal action against the film’s release but decided against it when told that the producers were well within their rights to release the film as and when they pleased.”
