US wasn’t spying on France: President Barack Obama

The US President told Hollande that he was not a spying target
Washington: The US President, Barack Obama, has assured his French counterpart Francois Hollande that his administration was not spying on him. Obama spoke to Hollande on Thursday over phone following WikiLeaks reports that claimed the US National Security Agency eavesdropped on the last three French presidents from 2006 until 2012. The US President told Hollande that he was not a spying target and reiterated his commitment to bilateral ties.
“The President reiterated that we have abide by the commitment we made to our French counterparts in late 2013 that we are not targeting and will not target the communications of the French President,” the White House said.
Obama heckled at lgbt event:
The US President Barack Obama was heckled during a White House event honouring LGBT Pride Month by an activist protesting his administration’s policies on deportation of LGBT immigrants.
On being repeatedly interrupted, an angry Obama addressed the protesting LGBT activist directly, saying “no, no, no. Shame on you. You shouldn’t be doing this.” “Listen, you are in my house. It’s not respectful when you get invited to somebody,” Obama told the heckler, giving him another chance.
