The Annual meeting of AMMA held in Kochi brought together the entire Malayalam film fraternity. An opportunity to bond, catch up and share anecdotes, it was interesting to see the cast of the Lal Jose directed film Classmates — Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Narain and Indrajith catch up and click a selfie.
The trio of Indrajith, Jayasurya and Prithviraj are again getting together for the film Amar Akbar Antony and share a very warm camaraderie. Prithviraj speaks about the bond they all share, “I don’t know if I am right in saying this but we probably belong to the last generation of actors who had to share rooms and cars. During the shoot of Classmates, it was a hostel — like atmosphere sharing rooms and cars for two months and then there was Swapnakoodu. It’s like going to school and forming a friendship and it is lovely to see all of us having our own journeys and doing well in our own careers. Now when we get together, we have so much to talk about and we are privileged enough to be a part of the transition. We came into Malayalam cinema before the so called renaissance happened and now we are a part of it and we are all looking forward to what we hope is a very bright future.”
