Scarlett Wilson ready for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

British model and dancer will showcase her talent in the upcoming season of reality show

British model and dancer Scarlett Wilson, has been part of some big projects such as Shanghai, R…Rajkumar and now Bahubali. Soon the upcoming season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa will also showcase her talent. Scarlett says, “I wouldn’t say I’m trained. I went dancing after school in my uniform and enjoyed it as an after-school hobby. I was never taught technique, I was only taught to just dance from the heart.” When she came to India, after a few modelling assignments she landed her first item song Imported Kamariya in Dibakar Banerjee’s film, Shanghai.

“I’ve been lucky enough to have done over 25 songs in Bollywood and down South. I’m grateful that dancing is giving me all these opportunities. Last year I also did Dare 2 Dance and now I have Jhalak…” Scarlett is excited about the new line-up of judges on the show. “I have maximum respect for Karan Johar, for him and his work. Ganesh Hegde is one of the most talented choreographers I know I’ve had the privilege of working with him for film I am doing with Rajeev Khandelwal. Shahid I’m really excited about. I love his movies and he’s an incredible dancer, so it’s a privilege to dance in front of him. I’ve followed Jhalak for the last few years. There is so much talent in this country and it’s amazing that it can be shown to everyone.”

Speaking about her preparation for the show, Scarlett reveals, “We’ve been training for a month now. I am trying to get fit and build my stamina. When you don’t dance for a very long time it takes a while to get back into the swing of things. Also, I am learning new styles as I want to experiment on the show.” In addition to that she is also taking Hindi lessons. ”I want to speak as much Hindi as I can over the next few weeks. Rehearsals are going good. We had a little setback mid way when our song was changed after the choreography was done. I was nervous then but it’s healthy to be hit with these sudden situations. That is what will help us get used to the pressure and last-minute changes.”
