Excited about Mantra 2: Charmme

The trend is that of pretty actresses opting to look revolting in horror films, and Charmme is no different. She will be seen playing a possessed woman in Mantra 2, a bilingual horror thriller. Directed by Satish, actor Srinivas playing the male lead.

Charmme’s earlier flick Mantra was a thriller, in which she had received critical acclaim and the prestigious Nandi Award from the Andhra Pradesh Government.

With this movie, the resemblance ends with the title — Mantra 2. “Mantra 2 has a different story. Initially, I was apprehensive of accepting the film since Mantra has been my best film so far. It also got me my first award. But when Satish narrated the script, I was excited and convinced that it had all the potential to become a blockbuster,” she says. Insiders say that she may even get the coveted award for the third time.

Though it was primarily planned in Telugu, the filmmakers say they are producing it in Tamil as well.
