Sing it to win it: American woman takes revenge from ‘autowala’ in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: At some point in our lives, we all have gone through the agony of bargaining with auto drivers or questioning them for not charging by the meter.

But how many of us have bothered to ‘really’ give it back, expect for a few harsh words maybe?

This American woman, refused to take no for an answer. Christine Fair, an assistant professor at the Georgetown University took a bitter revenge from an auto driver in Hyderabad after he refused to charge the ride according to the meter.

Not only did she narrate the incident on camera, shaming the auto driver, but also embarrassed him by singing songs in perfect Hindi. She later put the video on YouTube.

“This is how to handle a scoundrel taxi or autowallah who either doesn't want to take you to your destination (for whatever fazul bahanna he offers) or use the meter. It's taken me some 20 years to figure out this technique to get an auto or a taxi driver in India to take me to my destination with the meter on,” she wrote on YouTube after posting the video.

Visibly shaken, the auto driver is seen wondering about the fluency of Christine’s Hindi.
