Vizag’s Valentina Mishra, who has been crowned Mrs India Asia International World 2015, is the first woman from Vizag to win the pageant and also the Mrs Asia-Beauty Confident at the grand finale of Mrs Asia International Pageant held in Kuala Lumpur last month.
The 36-year-old is a classical dancer, a beauty trainer, an emcee and a loving wife and mother. Speaking to DC in Vizag, Valentina says, “This is a big achievement for me and a proud one for all people from Vizag. Like most girls, who at some point in their childhood dreams wanted to become Miss India, I was no different and grew up watching beauty pageants. I was first runner-up in the Miss Vizag and Miss Andhra Pradesh back in pageants in 1996 and 1997.
“Though I was born in Madhya Pradesh, I was brought up in Vizag as my father is a Naval officer. I did my schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Vizag and completed BA in IRPM at GVP College.
“I started a career in the glamour world and rose to fame as a pageant groomer. Apart from grooming, I have also acted in the television serial CID and in advertisements.” “The pageant is very crucial for me as it will open up more avenues for my participation in various welfare activities in the society, particularly for children,” she adds.
