Tessa is back as a journalist

Tessa makes a comeback in Balachandra Menon’s Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum
Tessa was a household name for Malayalis some time back with her popular live TV show Hello Good Evening. The girl then impressed us with her performance in the Mammootty-Lal Jose team’s Pattalam in 2003 and now, after a 12-year break from the film world, Tessa Joseph is on a comeback mode with Balachandra Menon’s new movie Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum.
Tessa, who will be seen as a journalist in the movie, is also excited about the film and the opportunity to work with a talented team from the Malayalam film fraternity.
Tessa feels that it is a great opportunity to make her ‘comeback’ with Balachandra Menon, who has introduced many leading ladies in Malayalam film world.
“I am playing a role of a journalist opposite Vineeth. It is an interesting and different role for me,” says Tessa. She feels that the film industry have changed tremendously during the last one decade, “When it comes to acting, my confidence level was a bit low compared to the time I did Pattalam. At that time, I was very much a part of the system, facing people and doing live shows. This is not the case now after having had no connections with films for a decade. However, the love and support of the entire cast and crew was unforgettable. All of them were so friendly, especially Kalabhavan Shajon and Kochu Preman uncle. Initially, I thought Renji Panicker was a very serious person but when I saw him cracking jokes and interacting with everyone, I went up to him to introduce myself. To my surprise, he said he used to watch my TV shows and had also watched Pattalam, which made me happy. Vineethettan helped by making me feel comfortable and at ease,” Tessa adds.
About future plans, Tessa says that she is open to good projects. At present, she is settled in Abu Dhabi with her husband Anil Joseph, who is working in an oil company and two kids Roshan and Rahul. “As long as I am selective in choosing my roles, I believe it is possible to balance family life and career. My husband has been very supportive and is ready to go the extra mile to take care of the kids,” she adds.
