While the film has scaled new heights, it has also encouraged others to attempt to make films on such a grand scale. While a lot has been written about Rajamouli’s passion for cinema and how he’s a visionary, we ask Bollywood personalities who they think could be Bollywood’s Rajamouli.
Bollywood can’t make the film
No one. Because Bollywood doesn’t make such films. This genre hasn’t been successful here. Even Baahubali’s Hindi version’s collections are not great. That film’s success is not about direction, it’s the VFX and vision. Rajamouli understands the technology behind this to achieve it at an achievable cost. Bollywood can’t afford it. Having the vision and passion for cinema isn’t enough — you need to have the ability to translate it on screen.

No comparison
Nobody can be compared to Rajamouli. His films belong to the fantasy space. He’s a passionate filmmaker and you can see that in his films like Magadheera, Eega and now Baahubali. In Ra.One, I couldn’t even do half of what he has done in Baahubali.
