Chandrababu Naidu’s resignation demand draws flak
Mr Reddy observed there was nothing wrong in the CM taking a holy dip at the common Pushkar ghat
Anantapur: Tadipathri MLA J.C. Prabhakar Reddy came down heavily at APCC chief N. Raghuveera Reddy and YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for demanding resignation of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in connection with Rajahmundry tragedy.
Referring to previous tragic incidents during regimes of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy, the Telugu Desam MLA pointed out why Mr Raghuveera Reddy had not demanded resignation of his own party chief ministers blaming them responsible for deaths in Krishna Pushkarams, Gokul Chat and train accidents.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Mr Reddy observed there was nothing wrong in the CM taking a holy dip at the common pushkar ghat along with the public during launching of Godavari Pushkarams. The incident claimed many lives in stampede that was heart rending, Mr Reddy said.
The TD MLA felt the building of the new state capital was not an easy task equal to the standards of Hyderabad due to financial condition of state after the division. Reiterating the political drama by Mr Raghuveera Reddy for inviting the Rahul Gandhi to organise padayatra, the Tadipathri MLA demanded that the Congress disburse financial assistance to kin of farmers those committed during Congress rule.
