There seems to be no stopping the rumour mills from grinding overtime. Another debutant director has now found himself catching the short end of the stick and embroiled in an unnecessary gossip.
Director of the film Mumbai Taxi, Fazil Basheer speaks about the unfounded rumours doing the rounds, “My film was set to release on the 17th but because of other big budget films, I decided to postpone the release. That created a lot of unnecessary speculation about the theme of the film with a section of people claiming that my film supported terrorism. I want to clear the air and state that though the subject of Mumbai Taxi is related to terrorism, it does not in any way support terrorism of any form. The film has already got a censor certificate and will be releasing on the 31st of July.”
He also mentions that newcomers should be supported and not subject to unnecessary negative talk before a film releases. The film stars Badshah who debuted as a child actor in Pappayude Swantham Apoose alongside Marina as the main lead.
