Kamat confident of Drishyam success
July was a great time for the box office. The success of Rajamouli’s Baahubali and Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan spelt a great time for films. But is that a good thing for Nishikant Kamat’s Drishyam that releases this week? The director certainly seems to think so. “It is absolutely a terrific sign. It means people have found a reason to return to movie theatres for two consecutive films. A positive atmosphere is created among the movie-going audience. Now all I need to do is sustain the momentum by giving them another content-driven film. But yes, I have to live up to some formidable expectations after Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Baahubali.” he said.
The filmmaker is confident that Drishyam will connect with every section of the audience. He says, “It’s all about the preservation of family values. Who doesn’t believe in family values and their preservation at any cost?”
