Bebo to lock herself in to prepare for Balki’s film

‘I’ve told Saif I need to be on my own to play this character’

She has always been a switch-on-switch-off actress. But now for the first time Kareena time, Kareena Kapoor Khan will go through a process of intense and vigorous preparation for her role in R. Balki’s untitled film. Bebo essays the character of a top executive in a firm, who is the sole wage earner in the family, while Arjun Kapoor plays her stay-at-home-husband.

When asked about it, she said, “I’ve always been a spontaneous actress. I don’t like to prepare too much before I do a shot. But now for the first time, I will be changing the pattern.”

Kareena admits that the preparation always depends on the role. “I’ve never played this kind of character before. I have never even known anyone like the woman I play in Balki’s film. Her world and mindset is completely different from mine. I need to get to know her before I play her.”

The actress will lock herself away for a certain number of hours every day. “I’ve told Saif I need to be on my own to play this character. For four hours every day I plan to lock myself away from everyone including family. It’s the only way I can get to know the character I am going to play.”

Meanwhile, the ‘lucky mascot’ cannot stop smiling

Bodyguard, 3 Idiots, Singham and now Bajrangi Bhaijaan have kept Kareena Kapoor in the top league of actress. “I’m the lucky mascot for all my co-actors,” she says with huge smile. The actress, who has been synonymous with Rs 100-crore films, says that she is having the last laugh, as all the projects that she chose turned out to be blockbusters. She has always maintained that she wants to work with like-minded people. “I have to be comfortable with the people I’m working with. It makes me feel on top of the world when the films I do enter the Rs 100 crore club. Even if it means having a small stake in the success of the big-budget films.”
