‘Abhishek Bachchan’s the coolest person I’ve met’

He was last seen playing Abhishek Bachchan’s younger version in Guru. Eight years later, 25-year-old Sunny Subramanian will again be associating with junior Bachchan, but this time as a music composer. He has composed the anthem for Abhishek’s kabaddi team Jaipur Pink Panthers.

Says Sunny, “A friend told me that Abhishek was looking for an anthem and asked me to make something and send it to him. So, I composed the track and sent it to AB. He loved it and asked them to follow up with me.”

What was his inspiration? “I wanted to compose a tune that would bring out the motivational spirit among the players and a feeling of integrity among the team. AB loved the tune instantly but the lyrics took a little while for approval. Once everything was finalised, we recorded with live percussions, electric guitars, chorus and voice. The track was mixed and mastered at Yash Raj Film Studios.”

Does he share a good rapport with AB? “He always made me feel comfortable. Even today, he is that same amazing person. He’s really the coolest person I ever met.”
