I don’t take failures very seriously: Navdeep
He has not yet made it big in Tamil cinema
Telugu actor Navdeep, who made his Kollywood comeback with the recently-released Vikram Prabhu-starrer Idhu Enna Mayam, says this film will bring him more offers in Tamil. “I am hoping that the film will turn out to be a game changer for me. It’s an honest film,” he says.
Despite being a bundle of talent and good looks, he has not yet made it big in Tamil cinema. When asked why, he says that looking back, he has learnt a lot from his own career. “I haven’t let the tag of being a flop actor affect me too much. But it’s been a great learning process. Until I reach a stage that I can choose my films, I won’t stop from experimenting. I will keep going. Success and failure are a part and parcel of everyone’s career,” he tells.
Heaping praise on Vikram Prabhu, his Idhu Enna Mayam co-star, Navdeep says he doesn’t have any airs. “Vikram is very down to earth. I have even worked with his dad Prabhu sir. I like them a lot. As far as Idhu Enna Mayam is concerned, my role brings the movie to a good conclusion. I thank AL Vijay for this,” he smiles.
Navdeep hopes that someday, he will get to do challenging roles. “I have been getting good offers. Directors have immense faith in me and cast me repeatedly despite me having only moderate hits. They know I am very hard working,” he adds.
It is been more than a decade since Navdeep entered the film industry. “I am choosing the best from what has been offered to me. I don’t choose bad films. It’s just that they don’t work out sometimes,” he says. The actor says he likes to go horse riding and paragliding when he isn’t busy with movies, and he also runs a real estate business in Hyderabad.
