Namaste London
Designer Susan Fernandes shares her experience from her recent trip to London
1 The highlight of my trip was the graduation ceremony of our son Aditya Fernandes from Central St. Martins, London. He graduated in Graphic Art and studied Moving Images.
2 After that we went to The Alexander McQueen Exhibition at the Victor and Albert Museum. McQueen also studied at Central St. Martins and always used the V&A for intensive research for his fabulous creations over the years. I bought a tote bag from his collection which I will always treasure.
3 We also went to the Fingals Cave, on the island of Staffa in Scotland. It’s a ferry ride from Oban, to the island of Mull, and then a boat trip to Staffa. These islands form the Inner Hebrides.
4 We ate a lot of fresh seafood — oysters, drank ale, and bought a couple of stokes hand knitted from wool from the most adorable black- faced, fat, wooly sheep of the island.
