Raftaar is one multitasker
Rapper Raftaar is clearly a busy man. He has his hands full with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, his film commitments and now he has even made his debut on MTV Coke studio too. When we caught up with the rapper, he said, “It’s a pretty big thing for me to be performing on the same stage as A.R. Rahman, Vishal Dadlani etc (for Coke studio). I know people are expecting me to rap, but they will see me perform some slow poetry with a bit of Sufi. I have tried to keep it meaningful.”
He has also been doing well on his other show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. “I’m definitely happy dancing. My choreographer Sneha is half Malayali, so we bond over that. She has a tiny frame but a mature mind. We recently got a full 40 score too and it has been wonderful,” he says.
Telling us about his other commitments, the rapper says, “I’ve done a song for Singh is Bling and I’m also working on Rhea Kapoor’s next and Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi. I might join the Singh is Bling tour and as of now, I’m heading to Dubai for a video shoot.”
So, how does he manage to fit in so much in a day? “It’s hectic, but this is the time to capture the limelight. I’m just 26, so I can afford to jump around, using my energy in the right way.”
