It’s not good to talk about money: Mahesh Babu
While Srimanthudu is doing great business, Mahesh Babu does not want to talk about the film’s collections. “I made an honest attempt and I have done the same from the beginning of my career. But I have got a lot of respect for this film, which is very important for me. When we do a good film, it is not good to talk about money. If the film is good then the money will come automatically,” says Mahesh.
The superstar also reveals that while shooting, actors like Jagapathi Babu became emotional during a few scenes and that was when they knew that they had a winner in their hands.
“After I completed the scene, I saw Jagapathi Babu weeping. Some of the unit members too were emotional and I knew then that the subject was strong,” he says.
The actor reveals that he couldn’t sleep for a week ahead of the film’s release. “Now, I can’t sleep due to the success of the film. We are all enjoying the success and are also scared when people wonder how Mahesh Babu did this character,” says the actor.
He adds that they had never expected the film to be so huge. “We all knew that the film would be a hit, but we did not expect this response,” says Mahesh Babu.
He adds that he will sort out the details regarding adopting his native village Burripalem. “After I started shooting, my brother-in-law gave me this idea. But if I had announced it at that time, people would say that it was only for the film’s publicity, so I didn’t do that. I will give all the details in two months,” he adds.
Apparently, even his co-star Shruti Haasan’s father Kamal Haasan congratulated him and said, “Srimanthudu was a complete, satisfying entertainer and no wonder, the audiences have given their verdict as a blockbuster.”
