The cast of the Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali has a new addition. After Prakash Raj, Kalaiarasan, Attakathi Dinesh, Dhanshika and Radhika Apte, now the latest to the movie is filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj’s father Gajaraj.
A source from the film’s unit says that Gajaraj will be essaying an important role in the film and will join the shoot in September — for the first schedule. He has previously essayed small roles in films like Jigarthanda, Rajini Murugan and Mundasupatti. Apparently, Gajaraj is a diehard fan of Superstar and is said to be thrilled to share the screen space with Rajini- kanth.
There are reports that he is also a part of Karthiks’ upcoming film Iraivi, however, it has not been confirmed yet. Kabali’s plot revolves around an aging gangster. The initial scenes are set in Mylapore, according to the source, after which the story moves to Malaysia. The film will have music scored by Santhosh Narayanan and the crew commenced a photoshoot on Friday.
