South Central Railway Mazdoor Union warns of stir

Hyderabad: The South Central Railway Mazdoor Union has decided to go on an indefinite strike from September 23, over recommendations of the Bibek Debroy Committee report. One of the key recommendations of liberalising and privatising the railways is being opposed by the union.

While a final meeting is yet to be held, the tentative date of the indefinite strike is September 23. “The union will go on strike opposing the Debroy panel report from September 23,” said Siva Kumar, divisional secretary, SCRMU.
