CPM plans drive to ‘expose RSS’
Campaign from September 26 to Oct 2
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretariat has decided to hold a campaign from Septem-ber 26 to October 2 Gandhi Jayanthi day in all wards against the planned attempt of communal forces to trigger religious and caste hatred in the state for vested political interests.
During the week long campaign, the party plans to expose the RSS alleged devious plan to sow seeds of communalism in the state for disturbing communal harmony.
The party will also campaign against the SNDP leadership which is trying to push the organisation into RSS for vested financial and political interests.
The party said the time had come for all right thinking people to resist the organized attempts from certain quarters to topple the social reform values and inject communal hatred in the secular fabric of the state.
Those who are for peace, tranquillity and normal life should joined hands, it added. The CPM secretariat said communal forces had stepped up their efforts to fan caste and religious feelings to polarise people and turn Kerala into a communally volatile place.
The Sangh Parivar is making repeated attempts to hijack social reformers and their legacy to create confusion in the minds of people, it said and added that any attempt to divide people on the lines of caste and religion was dangerous.
It said the RSS had even deliberately misinterpreted a crucifixion tableau which was actually aimed at exposing the communal forces, to launch an attack on the CPM.
The party regrets that Sangh Parivar got an opportunity to misinterpret the message.
