Andhra Pradesh’s CID to investigate Keshava Reddy’s fraud
Keshava Reddy is accused of amassing Rs 547 crore from parents
Kurnool: The AP CID will investigate the Keshava Reddy fraud case. A decision to this effect was taken by AP director-general of police J.V. Ramudu, who reviewed the case with CID officials on Friday.
Keshava Reddy was produced before a judge on Friday and sent to 15 days’ remand. CCS DSP Hussain Peeran said Keshava Reddy was booked under various IPC sections, besides Section 5 of AP Protection of Depositors and Financial Establishment Act.
Simultaneous searches were conducted on the Keshava Reddy Institutions at Kurnool, Nandyala and Panyam and computer hard discs, along with some valuable documents, were seized.
Keshava Reddy is accused of amassing Rs 547 crore from parents and depositors by promising to provide free education till Class X.
