Old flames Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone make for a pretty picture when in the same frame and thanks to their upcoming Imtiaz Ali film Tamasha, one will get to see a lot more of them. At a recent press conference for the film, the two seemed prepared to take on pointed questions from the media about their past proximity. In fact, they also indulged in some tongue-in-cheek humour. When one of the scribes asked Ranbir what is the one episode of his life with Deepika that he’d like to relive, the actor quipped, “The success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.” Deepika nodded in agreement.
The actress’ current rumoured beau Ranveer Singh had said in an earlier interview that Deepika enjoyed her screen time more with Ranbir than him. When asked to react, a calm Deepika responded, “I don’t think we can pick one. The last time he said it, it was in a different context. It depends on the film, the characters and what the director wants to extract. I can’t compare my chemistry with Ranveer in Ramleela and my chemistry with Ranbir in Tamasha.”
Do they hope to play each other’s lucky charm this time just like they did in YJHD? “It is not fair to label anyone as ‘lucky charm’. Deepika has worked very hard to be here. She is a dedicated person. I do hope her luck works on me and not mine on her,” he said.
