Murder suspect to be taken on Crime trail

The police is verifying the role of the accused in several other crimes that he had confessed, to the police, to have committed
Kottayam: Satheesh Babu, the accused in the murder of Sr Amala of the Lisieux Carmelite Convent in Pala, will be taken out for collecting evidence in the case on Tuesday.
The First Class Judicial Magistrate Court, Pala, on Monday, left the 38-year-old, who was kept at the Pala sub-jail, to the police custody for the next ten days.
“He will be taken to the scenes of crime, including the convent, where the incident happened, to collect evidence,” Pala deputy superintendent of police B. Suneesh Babu said.
The police is verifying the role of the accused in several other crimes that he had confessed, to the police, to have committed.
He was arrested in Uttarakhand by the local police on Wednesday night and the district court in Haridwar transferred him to the special investigation team led by Mr Babu Friday afternoon. They brought him to Kottayam on Sunday.
