In recent times, Mollywood has been witnessing several small screen actors foray into the silver screen. After actors like Asha Sharath and Jewel Mary, the latest actor set to appear on the big screen is six-year-old Akshara Kishor, who stole the hearts of the audience with her brilliant performance in Karutha Muthu.
Akshara will be debuting with Rajesh Pillai’s upcoming film Vettah. According to the director, she has been roped in to essay Kunchakko Boban’s daughter in the film. “She has been cast because of her brilliant performance on the small screen. Akshara is an excellent actor who can give us a brilliant output despite her age,” says Rajesh, who earlier directed Traffic and Mili.
Vettah, which has Kunchakko Boban, Indrajith and Manju Warrier in the lead roles, will start rolling from next week in Kochi. The psycho thriller written by Arunlal Ramchandran will be produced by AV Anoop and Rajesh Pillai.
