The beautiful Avantika Mohan, who is busy with her Kannada projects, is all set to make her Bollywood debut. “I have signed a Hindi movie which has many famous stars. The movie directed by Samagra Ganesh is based on a true story and I am playing the female lead. Shooting will begin on 15th November and will take place in places such as Manali and Lucknow. I am not allowed to reveal more details about the movie,” says Avantika who is excited about the debut.
Earlier this year, she had an opportunity to share the dais with legendary choreographer Saroj Khan for a dance reality show and that was the turning point in her career. “It was solely luck that brought this opportunity to me. After watching my movies they felt I was the right person for this role. I had been the judge of Dancing Star on Colors TV with Saroj Khanji, which boosted my entry into Bollywood. I also performed to three songs in that show. I speak Hindi fluently, which was an additional asset. I think this movie will be a breakthrough in my career,” says Avantika.
Her next movie in Kannada is Preetiyalli Sahaja, in which she has acted opposite Raghu Mukherjee. Avantika was last seen in 8:20 in Malayalam. “I will do Malayalam movies if I get promising roles. I am yet to find a director who will showcase me well,” she says.
