FIR against Asaduddin Owaisi for uploading morphed pictures of Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: The police in Gorakhpur district has registered an FIR against All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi for posting a morphed image of BJP leader Yogi Adityanath on Facebook.

The morphed photos of Adityanath allegedly made fun of him and his supporters had demanded action to be taken immediately. It may be mentioned that the conflict between the two leaders escalated in February 2015, when the AIMIM alleged that Yogi Adityanath’s Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV) was harassing Muslims in his constituency.

The FIR against Mr Owaisi comes a couple of days after the AIMIM president demanded the Uttar Pradesh police to take action against Adityanath for allegedly inciting Hindus in the communally sensitive region of Dadri.
