VS Achuthanandan alleges BJP-RSS secret pact

The Congress had failed to put up a strong resistance

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan has said that the silence of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Congress leadership on BJP-SNDP tie-up pointed to a clandestine deal.

The veteran leader said that on the issue of beef ban and cow slaughter, the Congress had failed to put up a strong resistance. Even Rahul Gandhi is yet to make his stand clear while Digvijay Singh are advocating beef ban.

He said the chief minister and other UDF leaders were not uttering a word against BJP-RSS designs to hijack SNDP. Though KPCC president has spoken something without much clarity, he has failed to rally his party against the Sangh Parivar . This clearly pointed to the double standards.

Mr Chandy and UDF leaders believes that by clandestinely propping up such unholy alliances they could win some Hindu votes and that’s why they are hesitating to attack the Sangh Parivar.

Even Muslim League and Kerala Congress have adopted same stand against communal forces which is shameful.

He said Congress had reduced itself to being a party which was ready to follow the diktats of Sanghis on what to eat and what not o eat. The people will see through their opportunistic politics for votes.
