Madhu Shalini is eagerly awaiting the release of the Kamal Haasan-starrer Thoongaavanam, which is slated for a Deepavali release. The Avan Ivan actress has made a comeback to K’town with this action flick after a short hiatus.
In a recent interview to DC, Madhu said she doesn’t believe in taking up projects because she has to, and that she has other interests, which keep her going while not doing films. Prominent among them is the ‘Save Temples Organisation’ with which the Hyderabadi lass has been associated, for quite a while.
According to the actress, it has a group of like-minded people working together to renovate dilapidated temples to preserve our heritage. She says, “We collect funds from people who are willing to donate for the welfare of temples. The organisation functions across the country and around 10 temples have been refurbished in the last one year.”
