Amaravati fete: Uddandarayuni Palem turns a melee of humanity
Vijayawada: The Amaravati foundation fete has turned Uddandarayuni Palem in Guntur into a melee of humanity with crowds from all walks of life converged into the quiet and placid village to participate in the functions.
VVIPs and VIPs descended, including the Prime Minister reached the venue in large numbers to be welcomed by the AP cabinet. Other dignitaries who graced the event included Telangana Chief Minister K Chandresekhar Rao, Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Telangana Finance Minister Etela Rajender, and other Telangana and Telugu Desam leaders.
Supreme court judge justice NV Ramana, industrialists and others were among the guests arrived at the ceremony.
Actor turned politician Nandamuri Bala Krishna turned up to the event along with his wife while other prominent Telugu actors such as Daggubati Venkatesh, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and others from Tollywood already arrived at the venue.
Priests and various religious heads offered prayers to their respective gods at the venue and sought blessings for the rise of Amaravati.
A study stream of guests filled the Vijayawada Airport at Gannavaram and all approach roads to Amaravati are packed with vehicles heading to the venue.
