Kochi: A short film on the alleged failure of the UDF-led civic administration during the last five years, prepared by the LDF election campaign committee was released by Prof. M.K Sanu on Wednesday.
The film includes portions of news reports and programmes appearing in TV channels on the various civic issues and allegations raised against the UDF council. Some of the issues mentioned in the film include poor condition of roads, controversy on the encroachment by DLF residential apartment, lapses in waste management, actor Jayasurya’s initiative to repair poor city roads, visuals of Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan cleaning the roadsides near his house and the vigilance probe against corporation on anomalies in files related to vehicles used for waste removal.
Responses of famous personalities on civic issues are also included in the film which will be screened in all divisions as part of electioneering. Sebastian Paul former MP is the anchor of the film. CPM district secretary P Rajeev presided over the release function held at Ernakulam Town Hall on Wednesday. Earlier, Rajeev said the filmmakers had a tough time editing and making it into a 30-minute film because there were long hours of TV programmes on the alleged failure of the civic administration.
