Hyderabad: Businessman Abhinav Mahender has alleged that Telangana commercial taxes minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s men took him to his office in West Marredpally and tortured him for two hours.
Talasani’s son also bashed him up. The incident happened on October 26. “After beating me up for two hours they dumped me in my apartment. They took away CCTV cameras from my home. They also deployed four people outside the house to watch me,” said Abhinav, who suffered multiple injuries.
Abhinav married tennis player Bhuvan Reddy on May 23 at Arya Samaj without the consent of her parents. The girl’s father, Mahender Nath Reddy, allegedly trapped Abhinav with the help of the minister’s son. “They had taken my wife to her house in Marredpally for a compromise. But they locked her up. I went there to demand her release, but they drove me away. Later, two men came to my house and said they were sent by her sister. They took me to the minister's Marredpally office. I realised then that they were the minister”s men,” said the victim.
