T-Hub will be the biggest incubator in the country

Hyderabad: Hyderabad is all set to beat other metros and become the “startup capital of India” with the launch of T-Hub at IIIT-Hyderabad campus in Gachibowli on November 5. T-Hub will be the biggest incubator in the country.
Even before its launch, 120 start-ups have signed up to occupy seats and cabins in T-Hub at the state-of-the-art 70,000 sq. ft. building constructed by the government at a cost of '40 crore. Another 200 startups are in the pipeline.
Information Technology minister K.T. Rama Rao said a new building with 3 lakh sq. ft. would come up at Raidurg near Hitec City in the second phase. This building will cost '150 crore and be completed within three years. The plan for the building will be unveiled by Tata Sons chairman-emeritus Ratan Tata on November 5.
Speaking to reporters at T-Hub on Monday, Mr Rao said the government plans to shift the entire incubation operations to Raidurg once the facility is completed.
“Already, 15 acres has been earmarked for the proposed games park at Raidurg and T-Hub would be part of it. We are weighing various options, including PPP mode, to take it forward,” he said. The first phase of T-Hub, called Catalyst, would be inaugurated by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Mr Tata on November 5.
