While real-life heroes are getting rare, here is the story of a man who loved to fly and ended up making his own aeroplane. While that itself is a rare achievement what is even more astonishing is that the man Saji Thomas is differently-abled — speech and hearing impaired.
Now the journey of Saji will come alive through a film directed by Sreekanth Murali, written by Santhosh Echikkanam, and enacting Saji is Vineeth Sreenivasan. Reports suggest that Santhosh was writing a story about a speech and hearing impaired young man who had an interest in engineering, when he stumbled on Saji’s story. Santhosh went and met Saji and then wrote the complete story. The shoot of the film will start by next April. Sreekanth is a prominent ad filmmaker who has also assisted director Priyadarshan.
