It isn’t true that I am on a diet all the time: Mandira Bedi
Mumbai: Actress and anchor Mandira Bedi has been having an exciting time as part of Farhan Akhtar’s new show I Can Do That. Speaking to us about the experience, she says, “I used to go to the gym six times a week but now I don’t because the challenges on this show are more strenuous than hitting the gym.”
Mandira is known to be fit, so has she intensified her diet to perform well in the show? “Not really, my son Vir is fond of French fries so I end up eating from his plate. It isn’t true that I am on a diet all the time.”
Though the acts require a lot of practice and time, Mandira says she does not compromise on her mommy duties. “I go to drop Vir at school and then go for rehearsals, after which I pick him up. He’s just four years old and he needs me. So whatever show I take up, I have to make time for my child,” she adds. The proud mother tells us what she wants for her son’s future and further adds, “I am not sure if Vir will be an actor, but I feel he will make a good pianist. He enjoys playing the piano already and is learning new things by himself.”
Speaking about daily soaps, Mandira says, “My show Shanti inspired so many women. I don’t see such characters on TV today. If offered such a strong role again, I will surely take it up.”
