All hail the twinkly eyed Maratha Queen
Mumbai: Diwali may be a few days away, but Bollywood fans are already getting their presents! Priyanka Chopra, who will be seen Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’, dropped her first character poster today!
The actress, who will be seen playing Maratha Queen Kashi Bai, released the photo, via her Twitter handle. The picture has PC looking every bit like royalty in a beautiful pink silk saree, and adorned with both delicate and heavy gold jewellery.
Priyanka plays Bajirao’s first wife in the film. Fans have only got a few glimpses of her in the film’s trailers and in the ‘Deewani Mastani’ music video. According to reports, the actress wanted to play a minimal part in the film because of her ‘Quantico’ commitments.
Early this week, we got to see an ‘intense’ 60-foot poster of Ranveer Singh as the Peshwa in his war gear on the battle field. All that remains to be revealed is Deepika Padukone’s character poster of Mastani. Which look do you think they will pick for Deepika? A badass warrior or a beautiful dancer? Guess we’ll just have to wait to find out.
