Director Sohanlal, who is also famous as a lyricist, has decided to put his pen down and just wear the director’s hat for now. Currently involved in an environment-related film for children which has been dedicated to Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Sohanlal says, “I am going to focus completely on filmmaking because I don’t want anything else to distract me from the process.
Writing lyrics takes a lot of time, creativity and involvement which I don’t have right now. The scripting of the film is complete and and the shoot will begin soon. Right after that I have another project lined up too.”
Sohanlal says he has been getting offers from his friends and industry people to pen lyrics and fears that his priorities might change if he takes them up. Some of the movies he has penned lyrics for include Konthayum Poonoolum, Kadhaveedu and Teens.
