The makers of Bajirao Mastani are left in the lurch with Priyanka Chopra not having any dates to promote the film at the moment. Her American television show Quantico has rendered her schedule choc-a-bloc. She has, however, managed to get a very small window to come to India in the last week of November but that is only for her brand endorsement commitments. She will be here for just a day before returning to the US the next day to resume Quantico. The makers have been looking forward to starting the promotions of Bajirao Mastani with Priyanka, but now they will have to wait longer. The actress apparently has promised to fly back to India in December and go all out with the promotions to make up for lost time.
A source in the know says, “Priyanka has been getting some interesting reactions from her co-stars and fans in the US. It seems they love her Maharashtrian avatar in the Bajirao... promos. The film’s team is waiting for her to join in the promotions because she’s an integral part of the project. PC has got just one day off to come to India and fulfill her brand commitments. So the BM promotions have been pushed further.” When contacted, her spokesperson confirmed the news. The source added, “PC is very excited about the reactions she has been getting for Bajirao. She is trying to find some time before the film’s release in December to do some heavy duty promoting.”
