Akshay Kumar to use prosthetics for Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Rustom’
Actor join hands with director Neeraj Pandey for the third time
Mumbai: Post the monetary success of their previous Special 26 and Baby, action star Akshay Kumar and director Neeraj Pandey have join hands for the third time for a romantic-thriller, titled 'Rustom'. Based on real life incidents, the film marks the debut of director Tinu Desai who assisted Neeraj Pandey in ‘Special 26’.
’Rustom’ is set in late 1950’s and will kick-start in UK early next year. Few portions of the film will also be shot in India, Europe and other international locales. Female leads opposite Akshay Kumar has not been finalised yet but the makers are in search of two new fresh faces opposite Khiladi Kumar.
While Akshay Kumar has two big releases in first half of 2016, ‘Airlift’ and ‘Houseful 3’, the makers of ‘Rustom’ are looking for the Independence Day 2016 release. Akshay will be seen in a different avatar where he will don flared pants, charcoal tie and cardigans of that era. The actor will also use prosthetics for his role set in 1950’s and he is excited to get lucky third time with his mascot Neeraj Pandey.
