VS Achuthanandan: People’s wish, party will decide
Mr Achuthanandan told reporters here that the issue need not be discussed now
Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan said here on Sunday that his contesting the elections would be according to the wishes of the people and the party.
Mr Achuthanandan told reporters here that the issue need not be discussed now. “The people of the state and the party would decide whether I should contest or not during election time,” Mr Achuthanandan said.
The reaction came in response to CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran’s statement on Saturday that Mr Achuthanandan should lead the LDF in the Assembly elections scheduled for April-May next year.
