Kaley Cuoco has covered her old wedding date tattoo with a large new butterfly design following her marriage split from Ryan Sweeting. The Big Bang Theory star, 29, branded her original ink a “mistake” while sharing pictures of the new artwork on Instagram on Tuesday. She had three rows of large Roman numerals etched between her shoulder blades to mark her New Year’s Eve nuptials in 2013.
But now she admits it was a bad choice and thanked her tattoo artist for “helping me right my wrongs”.
She wrote, “Note to self — do not mark your body with any future wedding dates. #under30mistakes #donttakeyourselftooseriouslykids (sic).”
She admitted that the new design didn’t hold any particular significance. “The deep, meaningful, larger than life meaning behind this beautiful piece of ink is… it covered the last one,” she said.
The actress, believed to be worth approximately $45 million, filed for divorce from the tennis player in September citing “irreconcilable differences”. She reportedly ended their romance because Ryan was allegedly “addicted to painkillers” and refused to seek help for his “dependency” on a prescribed drug.
