The bilingual film Neram starring Nivin Pauly and Bobby Simha as protagonist and antagonist respectively was a critical and commercial success. The film was the first directorial venture of Alphonse Puthren who helmed the runaway hit Premam recently. Nazriya, who played the female lead in the movie was also noted for her performance in the film, which was released in Tamil and Malayalam.
Now, the movie is being remade in Telugu with Sundeep Kishan in the lead. According to a source, Keerthy Suresh and Ashna Zaveri are the two names makers are considering for the female lead. Keerthy was signed for several films in Kollywood much before the release of her debut flick later had to opt out of few offers owing to date issues. While her first film opened to poor response, her second movie which completed its shooting long back is yet to see the day of the light. Similarly, Mumbai-based Ashna Zaveri who acted in two films opposite Santhanam too is waiting for lady luck to smile on her.
